funf act: 1. you can totally lose the dash abilityy the same way you could with the chickens: saved the game, went ot fight the boss, got killed before the next savepoint. ability gone, but also cant be reclaimed since boss room is cleared.
2. 100 pages? only if you beat it all in one run. period. since bosses also drop the required pages and, even after dying and losing all pages, the boss' pages obviously dont respawn either.
so 100 pages only for no death hardcore people :-/
hopefully, the pages would give the 6th ability, otherwis there is an ability missing (the third subweapon beside chikenboom and boomerang)
I'm not sure if this game is buggy, or trolling the player, but that whole "lose all the pages when you die" thing basically means the game must be played all the way through without dying. Because if you do die, you have to go all the way back to the beginning to get the pages.
Okay, that could be worse, you're basically playing it through without the bosses. Except...
You need to then wait until you're ready to fight the final boss to get any of the ability upgrades because they don't properly reset when you respawn (so, better beat the final boss on the first try), but it's doable. Except...
The first progress-blocking chicken-wall respawns when you do, and if you respawn past it, you might not be able to destroy it in order to go back and get the early game pages.
I've tried a few times to get the "good" ending, and I'm giving up because it's just unplayable if you're going for 100%.
But other than that (and the somewhat awkward control choice of ZXCD with D being dash - which I find makes for awkward use of jump, attack and dash in combos), a decent mini metroidvania.

Also you lose your subweapon.which sucks since you cant get past the walls anymore. even though the chicken subweapon is really sh.. by itself, since it most often explodes in your fac,e damaging you, while missing the wall
Wow, I've got to respect the audacity of taking an actually good (and good-looking) game and just adding glitches to it X) that chicken weapon probably killed me more than any other enemy in the game. 100/100 concept!
Really cool arts and music, i appreciate it. One thing: I don't know if it's me but there's no map in the game, i just see pink and black. Is it a bug or is it normal?
Thanks for the feedback. As for the map, it follows the "Super Metroid" style pattern, with squares that symbolize the "rooms" and their connections, indicating the room where the player is. If you pause the game and access the full map, you will see it more clearly.
is it possible to see the full map? as currently, the top right map view just shows the current roomad the 1-2 next to it, but I cant get a good graps of the full map by it
